Ardell Duralash Naturals

Flare Short Black: Ardell Duralash Naturals Flare Short Black are the closest thing to natural lashes ever developed. DuraLash Natural Individual Lashes fasten to your own lashes so they stay on day after day. They’re weightless, permanently curled, waterproof and comfortable. Knot Free.

Legend Rivera, my very talented colleague and friend introduced me to Ardell Duralash Naturals “Knot Free.” They are referring to the base of the lash… There is no knot so they look incredibly natural. No one, and I mean no on will be able to tell that they are false. With very gentle washing they could last a few days but don’t confuse them with lash extensions. The process for applying lash extensions is a little more labor intensive than that for applying individual flare lashes, and should only be performed by someone who is licensed to do so. Individual flare lashes are a great cost affective alternative to lash extension, but they do not stay on as long or are as durable as lash extensions. We’ll cover this topic more in my lash demo coming soon.

They come in short, medium, or long in black or brown. I use the short ones more often than not, and strategically place a couple of the medium ones depending on the desired affect and eye shape.

Sherani Surgical Eyelash Adhesive

Adhesive can be used with strip (and individual lashes as daily wear). Sherani adhesive has the highest rating among user ratings with equal and superior quality as DUO brand adhesives. Sherani is safe and easy…natural latex adhesives for strip eyelashes. Directions: 1) Using applicator, draw light line of adhesive along edge of lash base. 2) Immediately apply lash to eyelids just above roots of your own lashes. 3) Apply gentle pressure along entire lash strip. Adhesive will dry and become transparent within 3 to 5 minutes. 4) When ready to remove lashes, gently peel lash band from outer to inner corner of lid. Peel off adhesive after removal.

Sherani Surgical Eyelash Adhesive is a little harder to find than some of the other adhesives, but it is well worth the search! I was introduced to Sherani Surgical Eyelash Adhesive by multiple Emmy award winning colleague and friend Kevin-James Bennett. Thank you Kevin! Now, I’ve never applied it the way Sherani says you should but I’m not knocking it. I usually spread the adhesive on the base of strip lashes or individual flares themselves, and then apply them to my clients lash line. In just a few minutes the glue will go from white to transparent. If you are using a strip, sometimes the corners need a little reinforcement. Just dab a little more adhesive directly onto the base of the lash and your skin using a pointy q-tip or an angle brush. The Sherani adhesive will not damage your brush! Just allow the adhesive to dry and then roll it off using two fingers. Finish your false lashes with the eyeliner of your choice, and maybe a little mascara. I’ll do a demo video for you soon on how to apply false lashes at home.
